ORLANDO, FL – Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals (FICP) today announced through its 17th Annual Silent Auction, the organization raised $90,029, benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Orlando Health – Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and United Against Poverty. The Silent Auction was hosted in conjunction with the 2018 FICP Annual Conference.
“The money raised through this year’s silent auction far exceeded our expectations and represents a record-breaking sum to be spread evenly to three worthy charities,” said FICP Executive Director Steve Bova. “Monday’s CSR Activity gave attendees a taste of how their donations will be used and left all who participated feeling inspired.”
The selection of these organizations is consistent with FICP’s long-standing tradition of using Silent Auction proceeds to benefit the local community that not only generously hosts its signature event, but serves as the home to many of its hospitality partners and members.
“I would like to thank everyone who bid on items to help support these three organizations. As a resident of Orlando, these partnerships will help empower people living in hardship, provide care to support the health and well-being of children, and inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential,” said FICP Hospitality Partner Advisory Committee Chair Martin Johnston.
In 2017, FICP raised more than $69,000 to support Junior Achievement® and Global Giving.
