Dear Friends,

As passionate advocates for in-person meetings, you will find no other group more dedicated to bringing our community together as soon as possible for our much-anticipated, in-person events. We are also deeply committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our event participants, partners/sponsors, and communities.

In light of the continued impacts of COVID-19 on our community, FICP’s Board of Directors does not believe that holding the Education Forum, Canadian Seminar and Fall Symposium as originally scheduled is in the best interest of our community.

While we are truly saddened we cannot host an in-person event sooner, we want to do so when travel is feasible for both our meetings professional members and the hospitality partners who have been so negatively impacted by the pandemic.

We also recognize it’s more important than ever to connect with others, and engage in education to help you address the impact of the pandemic on your own meetings and events and conversations with friends you haven’t seen in a while.

FICP is pleased to announce it will host an all-new Education Week, June 22-26, offering a menu of live and on-demand virtual educational offerings that showcase the world-class education FICP is known for and innovative ideas of our community as we strategize and adapt to a new future. Brought to you by our volunteers and subject-matter experts, you can be sure to find relevant and impactful insight. Be sure to hold time on your calendars and stay tuned for updates.

Additionally, with these changes, we are able to focus our efforts – and those of our community – on our upcoming 2020 FICP Annual Conference, which is still scheduled to take place November 15-18 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. We will be working with our event partners to implement all applicable protocols to help ensure your safety at that event, and will provide regular updates on those efforts. The 2020 Strategic Leaders event is also planned to be held as scheduled in December.

If you have already registered for the 2020 Education Forum, you should have received a communication from FICP Headquarters with options for your registration. Our hospitality partners are encouraged to reach out to Steve Bova or Erica Pohl to discuss sponsorship options.
