Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
After dialogue with key stakeholders and ongoing evaluation of the evolving public health situation, the FICP Board of Directors has found it necessary to cancel the 2020 Education Forum at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, Calif. Below are answers to questions you may have related to this change.
What will happen with my original Education Forum registration?
If you have already registered for the 2020 Education Forum, you may choose to receive a credit in the amount of your registration towards registration for the 2020 Annual Conference or cancel your registration for a full refund. If you have not received a communication from FICP Headquarters with these options please contact us.
Be sure to contact your airline or travel agency to reschedule your flight(s), if you have already made them.
Will the 2020 Education Forum sessions be available virtually?
We recognize that many people were looking forward to coming together in June, and FICP remains committed to creating opportunities for those connections in whatever ways we can while we’re sheltering in place.
FICP is pleased to announce it will host an all-new FICP Education Week, June 22-26, offering a menu of live and on-demand virtual educational offerings that showcase the world-class education FICP is known for and innovative ideas of our community as we strategize and adapt to a new future. Brought to you by our volunteers and subject-matter experts, you can be sure to find relevant and impactful insight. Please hold time on your calendars and stay tuned for updates.
How will event sponsorships and commitments made for the original event date be handled?
Confirmed sponsors can choose to apply the funds they have already committed for the Education Forum or Canadian Seminar to the 2020 Annual Conference or new FICP Education Week offerings, or request a refund.
Please note: All sponsors interested in supporting the Annual Conference must participate in the go-live process Thursday, April 14, and must be accepted as a sponsor to apply their Education Forum dollars to that opportunity.
FICP Education Week sponsorship opportunities include:
- $2,000 networking activity sponsorship or introductory message to participants
- $1,500 webinar sponsorship
- $1,500 special-edition Education Essentials sponsorship (exclusive)
- $1,000 sponsored blog (authored by partner]
- $1,000 podcast sponsorship
- $750 FICP Short (2-3 minute educational video) sponsorship
If you have questions or would like additional information about these opportunities, please contact Steve Bova at (312) 673-4805.
Will FICP change other 2020 event dates?
FICP has also determined is it not in the best interest of our community to host the 2020 Canadian Seminar and Fall Symposium in August and September.
Planning is already underway for the 2020 Annual Conference, which will be held as planned November 15-18 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. The 2020 Strategic Leaders event is still planned to be held in December in Chicago as well. The sales go-live for the Annual Conference will be held Thursday, May 14. Please watch for other event updates and information as it is available.
