After more than a year of waiting, we are excited to see you in person at the 2021 FICP Annual Conference. But let’s also be practical — we’re watching the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance carefully in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic, and realigning our health and safety measures on an ongoing basis.
As an association of meeting professionals, FICP’s responsibility is to share best practices as well as lead by example. The health and safety of our 2021 Annual Conference attendees remains our top priority as we return to in-person events. Therefore, to safely reconvene in person, there is a new requirement being put into place.
New Health and Safety Requirements
For public health and safety reasons, everyone attending the 2021 FICP Annual Conference will agree to comply with all health, safety and distancing guidelines and must provide proof that they have completed the vaccination for COVID-19 no later than two weeks prior to arrival, according to the protocols recommended by the CDC and other medical professionals. If a health or religious reason requires an exemption from being vaccinated, a negative test will be permitted.
These rules apply to all in-person meeting professionals, hospitality partners, sponsors and FICP staff, regardless of your registration date. The process for submitting proof of vaccination and/or exemption status will be shared in the coming weeks.
We will evaluate the need for mask requirements closer to the event, based on the latest CDC guidelines. You can expect an official decision regarding masks to be shared on November 1. Please note that all information, policies and protocols are subject to change at any time, should the situation evolve.
While we are constantly updating our health and safety protocols, know that FICP is committed to holding the 2021 Annual Conference in person this November and continues to work with the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa to ensure the highest standards of safety, hygiene, cleanliness and operational effectiveness for all participants. We can't wait to see you this November!
