The 2025 FICP Education Forum provided abundant networking opportunities in a balanced, planner-to-supplier environment. Networking events offered attendees time to connect and form relationships with peers and partners.

Southern Sunset at May River Lawn

6:30–9:00 p.m.

As the sun set over Montage Palmetto Bluff, guests stepped into Southern Sunset and experienced the charm of the Lowcountry. They strolled through the vibrant marketplace, savoring coastal flavors, signature cocktails, and local treats, all while live music set the mood. With breathtaking views of the river and the essence of Southern hospitality, it was the perfect introduction to what made the Lowcountry truly special.

Attire: [Sand & Sun] An effortlessly elegant palette drawn from windswept dunes, bleached driftwood, and sun-kissed skin. Guests were invited to dress in tonal neutrals—ecru, sand, oat, stone, and soft terracotta—with textural accents like woven straw, gauzy cotton, or soft linen. Moreland Magic at Moreland Landing

7:00–9:00 p.m.

Guests set sail on a scenic boat trip along the winding beauty of the May River, departing from Grace Dock and cruising toward Moreland Landing. They sipped perfectly crafted Southern cocktails as the golden light danced on the water, Spanish moss swayed in the breeze, and herons, dolphins, and egrets appeared in the distance—painting a serene Lowcountry scene.

They savored the charm of Moreland Landing during an unforgettable evening by the riverfront. The tranquil blues and warm tones set the stage for an immersive celebration, where guests indulged in a lively oyster roast that honored the spirit of Lowcountry living. The evening was a fitting farewell to the region, marked by delicious flavors, lively conversation, and the natural beauty of the land.

Attire: [Linen & Lace] Inspired by the relaxed romance of a Moreland Landing evening, this look blended marshland elegance with coastal ease. Optional Nightcap at Cole's

9:00–11:00 p.m.
 
After the evening event at Moreland, guests are invited to stop by Cole’s for a nightcap, bowling and billiards and to mingle with fellow attendees. Located conveniently on the way back to the property, Cole’s offers a relaxed atmosphere for those who wish to join. For those who prefer to head straight back, the trolley will continue on to the hotel. Please note, this function is a cash bar.

First-time attendees met at the Education Forum and heard from FICP leadership as they shared event tips and tricks before day one began. This was an invite-only event.​​​​​​​

Solo Travelers Meetup

12:15-1:00 p.m.

Traveling without a team? Attendees met other meetings professionals and hospitality partners who were also attending solo at tables designated for solo travelers during this networking lunch..

Rising Professionals Happy Hour

5:30-6:30 p.m.

Meetings professionals and hospitality partners with 10 or fewer years of experience were invited to join us for a quick happy hour on Monday night. They heard about the work of our Rising Professionals Community and met colleagues who were at a similar place in their careers.

Morning Wellness

Stretch and Strength Class

6:00-6:45 a.m.

This class was designed to improve strength and flexibility. Weight lifting and bodyweight exercises, infused with yoga stretches, provided the ultimate combination of muscle building and stretching.

Teambuilding Activity: Network in Every Sense

Tuesday, June 24

3:15-5:00 p.m.

Attendees stepped into a networking experience like no other—where all of their senses came alive. They embarked on a bicycle scavenger hunt designed to spark meaningful connections through sight, touch, taste, sound, and smell. Participants were grouped into teams to explore all that Montage Palmetto Bluff had to offer. This sensory-driven experience sparked new relationships, deepened industry connections, and created lasting memories in a stunning Lowcountry setting.
