Shane Meeker is a nationally recognized storyteller, story trainer and keynote speaker. For over 10 years now he has been sharing his powerful and engaging story principles at companies like Walt Disney, Exxon Mobil, Columbia Sportswear, American Express and Ford.
His fascination with the power of story started early in his childhood with an epic and influential pair of superheroes - Batman and Luke Skywalker. Both imparted valuable life lessons such as a desire for adventure, the importance of hard work and learning from failure.
Upon graduation from The Ohio State University, he started his career as an Industrial Design Manager at Procter & Gamble. Over his 22 year career there, he has helped lead the design strategy for billion dollar brands like Tide, Gain, Crest, Olay and Pampers.
After several years of research in screen writing, film making and mythology, Shane discovered that the art and science behind his favorite movies could be used as a problem solving tool in ANY industry. He then developed StoryMythos, a keynote presentation and set of tools that brings to life the principles that he gathered during his studies. He now helps teams understand the relationship between their brand and Glinda the Good Witch, how to solve almost any business problem with what works in Star Wars or how movie sequel strategy can change initiative planning.
Just like when he was a kid, he still finds most of his inspiration from the fantastic stories of stage, page and screen. Today Shane is the P&G Company Historian & Corporate Storyteller and he continues to deliver his StoryMythos keynotes and workshops to hundreds of companies around the world.
