Summer may be winding down, but FICP is just ramping up, with the 2014 Annual Conference, taking place November 16-19 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, quickly approaching. FICP Fall Symposium is a Hit

FICP Planner Members and Hospitality Partners recently gathered at the stunning, newly-opened The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage in Rancho Mirage, CA. Attendees enjoyed a keynote address from Jim Knight, Branding and Customer Service Catalyst, who discussed how to revamp company culture as well as education offerings including a planner showcase, “Ask the Experts” panel, and sessions on business innovation and healthy meeting habits. Networking events at The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage and at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas provided a forum for connection and idea sharing, and a visit from a Junior Achievement volunteer educated attendees on the significant impact JA has on students.

FICP Summer Symposium Wrap-Up

In August, the FICP Summer Symposium drew attendees to the lavish Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto, ON, where they enjoyed keynote addresses from Catherine Murray, Co-host and Anchor for BNN; Former VP, Deutsche Bank, and Mike Lipkin, Founder and President, Environics/Lipkin; World-renowned Motivator and Communicator, in addition to education sessions detailing event-based mobile apps, healthy meeting choices and a lively “Ask the Experts” panel session. Networking activities included an evening event at the modern Arcadian LOFT and a Beatles-themed evening of music and dancing at the Omni King Edward. Three students from the local Junior Achievement chapter in Toronto had the opportunity to shadow FICP staff members during the Summer Symposium. The students were able to experience the behind-the-scenes logistics that go into planning a successful event and had the chance to sit in on the education sessions, providing a well-rounded educational experience.
