Prospect Reinstatement
A person is a "prospect" if he or she has never been a member. If a previous member has not renewed his or her membership for a period of 12 months or longer, he or she can be considered a “new member” for the purposes of recruiting. Prospective members may attend one FICP event within a three year period as a non-member.
Referrals - Recruiting a New Member
Credit for recruiting a new member can be given to a planner or to a Hospitality Partner (toward qualification for the Annual Conference), but not to both. Referrals are honored by the name that appears on the membership application.
Annual Member Recruitment Contest Guidlelines (for Planners)
The Planner who recruits the most new planner members between January 1, 2010, and September 30, 2010, will receive the following:
- Complimentary registration to the 2010 Annual Conference November 17-20 at the Fontainebleu Miami Beach
- Complimentary hotel stay at the Fontainebleu Miami Beach during the Annual Conference
- Two (2) free round-trip American Airline tickets to be used for attending the Annual Conference
Thanks to Fontainebleu Miami Beach and American Airlines for donating this year's contest prize.
Annual Member Recruitment Contest Guidelines (for Hospitality Partners)
The Hospitality Partner who recruits the most new Planner members between January 1, 2010, and September 30, 2010, will receive a complimentary registration ($1350 value) to the 2010 Annual Conference November 17-20 at the Fontainebleu Miami Beach. Note: In the event of a tie, the longer-standing Hospitality Partner will win the prize and no second place prize will be awarded.
Hospitality Partners who recruit one (1) meeting planner to join FICP and register for the Annual Conference by September 30 will earn a spot at the Annual Conference, but must still pay the registration fee of $1,350.
This is a recruiting effort to build a strong membership base. Hospitality Partners are not allowed to pay a Planner's membership dues or conference registration fees.
Be sure to remind new planners to include your name and company in the referral box of the online membership application prior to submitting it to FICP. Names will not be added after a membership application has been processed and no transfers will be made.
