2009 Annual Conference Selection Process (Lottery) Rules and Regulations

  1. FICP Hospitality Partners affiliated since 2002 will be notified to participate in the Selection Process.  However, if selected, the Hospitality Partner must renew their dues in 2009 no later than June 30 or the registration allotment to the 2009 Annual Conference will be forfeited.

  2. Hospitality Partners must register for the Selection Process online and submit payment of the $100.00 USD fee by 5:00 p.m. EST, Thursday, November 6, 2008, in order to participate.  This fee is non-refundable.

  3. Hospitality Partners who work for companies that have been designated as FICP Chains may not participate in the Selection Process.

  4. 71 slots for Hospitality Partners will be selected on stage on Tuesday, November 11 at the conclusion of the HP Session at the 2008 Annual Conference.  Location will be included in the agenda for the 2008 Annual Conference and the selection will be verified and conducted by the Hospitality Partner Committee (HPC).  The slots will be chosen by Category and the 71 selections are based on the pre-determined category percentages below.

  5. Hospitality Partners do not need to be present to be selected in the drawing.

  6. If a selected lottery winner chooses not to attend the 2009 Annual Conference the registration spot cannot be transferred or reassigned.

  7. In consideration for participants who have not been selected in the past, entries will be weighted. For every consecutive year of participation in the selection process over the last 4 years that the hospitality partner was not selected, an additional entry will be granted.  For example:
    • If you were selected in the 2008 lottery, you would not receive any additional spots.
    • If you were not selected in the 2008 lottery, but were selected in the 2007 lottery, you would receive 1 additional spot.
    • If you were not selected in the 2008 or 2007 lotteries, but were selected in the 2006 lottery you would receive 2 additional spots.
    • If you were not selected in the 2008, 2007, or 2006 lotteries, you would receive the maximum 3 additional spots.
    • PLEASE NOTE: If you were not selected in the 2008 or 2006 lotteries, but were selected in the 2007 lottery, you would receive only 1 additional spot.

If a Hospitality Partner is drawn more than once during the 2009 selection process, additional registration spots will not be granted for the 2009 Annual Conference.  Additional entries will be drawn until the slots for that category have been filled.
